Hair transplant results do not appear overnight. Transplanted follicles go through a healing and growth cycle, and the appearance changes gradually over many months.
The First Few Weeks
Early recovery usually includes temporary redness, small crusts, and visible changes in the treated areas. Many transplanted hairs may shed after the initial healing period. Shedding does not necessarily mean the follicle has been lost.
Early Growth
New growth often begins gradually after a resting phase. Early hairs may look fine or uneven at first. Density and texture can continue changing as more follicles enter active growth.
Later Maturation
For many patients, the result continues to mature over the following months. The crown can sometimes appear to progress differently than the frontal hairline. Your clinic should give you a timeline based on your procedure and individual characteristics.
Why Patience Matters
Comparing daily photographs can make normal progress feel slow. Periodic photos taken under similar lighting and angles are more useful for following meaningful change.
